I have been a member of Grove Collaborative for almost a year now, and I will be renewing my subscription when it's up! Here's why. (Spoiler alert: it involves a huge love of freebies and surprises!)

Free welcome kit
So I first heard of Grove Collaborative through one of my favorite content creators and comedians, Juggling the Jenkins. After seeing the ads I finally decided to click one day. I couldn't pass up the generous free welcome kit they offered! I opted for the baby/kids care set, which came with two full-sized bottles of Babyganics shampoo/body wash, two full-sized bottles of hair detangling spray, and a bath poof, all for free! (The free welcome kits they offer vary from time to time, though, so I'm not sure if the baby kit is still available.) They had also offered a cleaning kit (pictured above) and an eco-friendly paper products kit when I signed up. You can see which kits are currently available here.
So besides the initial welcome kit (which is amazing in and of itself) here are the reasons I kept my subscription:
All the eco-friendly products I love in one place
I love that I can look through everything here and know it's all companies I am familiar with and like. I don't perform a search for a product type and have to weed through 20 million copycat unknown off-brands (ahem ahem, Amazon!!) They're mostly ethically sourced, and/or organic, and/or environmentally friendly, etc. I have eczema and some other stuff that makes me prefer to use natural products in general, then of course there's the fact that I'd like to be environmentally conscious, so I love that I would happily buy any of the products here.

Less packaging, less plastic
They also have their own plastic-free line. They have reusable glass spray bottles that can be refilled. Then they sell small glass bottles of concentrated cleaner you pour into the reusable spray jars and then you add water. They also sell glass soap dispensers and soap refills (in what seem to be stainless steel bottles), as well as laundry sheets. And their scents are amazing, picture above is their Orange Bergamot glass cleaner!
Competitive prices
Just because Grove is a smaller company than some bigger-name corporations, doesn't mean they sell their items for an upcharge. I generally see things available for as much as I'd pay on Amazon or in a store. And if you grab their on-sale items, even better!
Free samples!
I'm a sucker for free samples. 😅 Seriously. I love that they offer free samples AND you can add as many as you'd like to your cart unlike some companies that make you choose just one or two sample items per order (it's one of each type of sample, although they've occasionally tossed two of the same free sample into my box!) What's funny too is that they don't really make a big deal of advertising these samples...in fact I went 3 months before noticing they even had samples!
Tip: search for the samples two ways. First, do a search for "free samples" (<---or click that link) Some non-free stuff will come up but just go down the line adding the truly free stuff to your cart. Another way is to go to the deals tab and from there select "samples". I've noticed searching for free samples brings up more options that don't show up on the Samples page for some reason??

Fun messages on your monthly package 📦
They always leave a nice encouraging handwritten personalized message on the package! Just another reason to love Grove.

Seasonal scents
If you're the type that likes new scents and decor to get you in the mood for each season, you'll love Grove's limited edition seasonal products. Every season they offer new limited edition scents for their cleaners, hand soaps, laundry sheets, and other products. For example, this fall's scents are Mulled Apple and Spiced Pumpkin, while the winter scents they just brought out include Crisp Balsam Fir and Frosted Plum. And with these new scents are limited edition products that also reflect the feel of the season!

Free gift with purchase section
So they also have another section on their site that provides savings. It's a section where you can buy one product and get a related product for free. For example I have gotten children's multivitamin gummies from there and got a free bottle of vitamin d gummies. Or I ordered a set of scent sticks and got a free holder for the sticks. Stuff like that!

Free gift on the order page
Based on how much you spent, you get to choose a bonus free item. Above is an example of the items currently on offer. My cart total is $63 so I qualify for either the lip balm or dish soap dispenser/brush set. Once you select your free item, they let you know if your order qualifies or, if you need to spend more to earn it, they tell you how much more you need to add to your cart to qualify for the gift.

Even more random free items....free free free!
Can't beat free, and with Grove they're always throwing in free stuff! It's crazy! 🤣 These random freebies show up in your email and often are full sized products. Most recently they emailed me showing me 3 Burt's Bees products I could add to my order for free...just because! It was a lip shimmer, set of 4 chapsticks, and some eye makeup remover pads. I didn't even add the eye pad things because I don't need them and felt like I didn't want to take too much advantage of them haha, but you were encouraged to add all 3 to your cart for FREE.
Another recent freebie offer was you could choose one item from a bunch of items to add to your cart for free, or could choose to get a $5 off credit! I chose the credit, and I was able to stack that with the free Burt's Bees items!
(Are you starting to see why I love them so much??)
